Excavation and Earth Work
We provide excavation, grading, and earth work services, including installation and repair of gravel driveways, French drains, horse arenas, paddocks, round pens, land clearing, and more. We are also available to clear storm damage and fallen trees, and can deliver gravel, rock, and topsoil to your site.

Hard Landscaping
We construct custom rock retaining walls, steps, and place decorative landscape rocks to meet your vision.
Outbuildings and Sheds
We design and build custom sheds under 200 square feet, including chicken coops, garden sheds, hay sheds, manure composting structures, and livestock shelters both small and large.

ABOUT
Alaistair Campbell grew up on a small farm on Whidbey Island, where he raised and showed alpacas,
horses, donkeys, cattle, and pigs in Island County 4-H. He spent his summers volunteering at M-Bar-C
Ranch, helping care for their herd of horses and maintaining the outbuildings. Growing up with animals
and gaining hands-on experience working on local farms, Alaistair knew he wanted to start his own
business creating functional yet beautiful improvements to people's land, homes, and farms. Taking
inspiration from his own black Dales Pony named Spencer, Black Horse Contracting was born.
